Why 12-team Leagues Are the Best Setup

For this post I will be ranting about why a 12 team league is a lot better than either 8 or 10 team leagues, especially for dynasty fantasy football. As a player who has played in leagues with 8, 10, and 12 teams, I can confidently say that the best way to play is with 12 teams. The key to this is getting 12 members that are very dedicated and in it for the long run. If you are able to do this, then your dynasty fantasy football experience will be a lot more fun. My main reasons for why 12 team leagues are so much better is because it increases the competition throughout the whole league and it helps to get members more involved. When you have more members in your league then things start to get more competitive. Some leagues choose to have 8 team playoffs, but my personal league goes with 6 teams. If you have less playoff spots like my league, and more members, that makes the competition to get a playoff spot very high. This increase in competition leads to members being more involved and motivated to improve. With more teams in the league, the better fantasy players get spread out and owners have to rely more on their ability to find sleepers and quality role players to keep their team going. This will be done through a more active and changing free agency and also more trades. With less teams in the league, owners can get lucky and have a stacked team and just coast the rest of the season without putting in much effort.
