With the 2018 NFL Draft coming up in just two days on
Thursday, April 26th it would only be fitting to go over some of the
hypothetical best landing spots for some of the top rookies. I have chosen my 3
favorite rookies and realistic landing spots that I really like for them.
1.
Saquan Barkley to the New York Giants
Barkley is without a doubt the most talented player in this
year’s NFL draft. He could potentially go from anywhere between the first
overall pick to about the fifth overall pick. I would be shocked if he went any
lower. I think the Giants at pick two would be a great spot for Barkley. The
Giants have a lot of weapons on offense except for at running back, so choosing
Barkley would make them a really good offense and there is going to be plenty
of opportunities for Barkley to score and show what he can do.
2.
Sony Michel to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sony really showed how good he was in the college football
playoffs last season and caught a lot of people’s attention. The Bucs
desperately need a running back with Peyton Barber and Charles Sims the only
two running backs on the depth chart. Going to the Bucs would basically mean
Sony gets his own back field which is yet to be seen since he split time with
Nick Chubb at Georgia.
3.
DJ Moore to the Green Bay Packers
Since the Packers cut Jordy Nelson this offseason, the wide
receiver position has opened up on the team a lot. Yes, they still have Randall
Cobb, but he has been rather disappointing the last few seasons and it is time
for a new number two receiver to come in behind Davante Adams. Aaron Rodgers is
going to throw plenty of touchdowns this season and although many of those will
go to Adams and Jimmy Graham, drafting a really talented and solid receiver like
Moore would be a great fit to catch the rest of those touchdowns.
There is no
guarantee that any of these happen, but if one of these do I would absolutely be
targeting them in dynasty leagues.
